Job summary

Woodland Wellness Centre is seeking an experienced senior leader to direct its holistic addictions treatment, prevention, and aftercare programs. This role reports to the Board of Directors and oversees 60+ staff, budget over $2M, and program quality with cultural integrity.

The executive will manage all operations, develop policies, and coordinate with ISC, FNIHB, and SHA to advance service delivery and reporting. CPR & First Aid certification is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor-level or higher in addictions/health field; relevant certifications preferred.
  • Minimum five years in a senior leadership role in health/addictions.
  • Experience with budget management and reporting exceeding $2M.

Job description

Permanent, Full-Time Executive Position|Reports to the Board of Directors

Woodland Wellness Centre, an incorporated affiliate of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band, is seeking an experienced, mission-driven leader to direct its holistic addictions treatment, prevention, and aftercare program. This senior executive role carries full accountability for program quality, clinical and cultural integrity, a budget in excess of $2 million, and the supervision of all program staff and supervisors, reporting directly to the Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for monitoring and assessing the Wellness Centre program and service quality to promote a health addiction-free lifestyle.
  • Enhance the well-being of communities by providing holistic (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual) counselling in the area of prevention, treatment and aftercare;
  • Direct day-to-day management of all Wellness Centre programs, services, including oversight of 60+ employees and day-to-day facility operations.
  • Set program strategy in alignment with organizational objectives and accreditation standards
  • Own the program budget: planning, management, and reporting (>$2M)
  • Oversee Addictions Management Information System (AMIS) reporting
  • Prepare and deliver quarterly and annual reports to the Board of Directors
  • Direct delivery of holistic (physical, emotional, mental, spiritual) counselling across prevention, treatment, and aftercare
  • Develop and maintain operational and program policy and procedures manuals
  • Develop and enhance service delivery models in consultation with ISC, FNIHB, and SHA.
  • Development and implementation of: Annual Reports; and Quarterly Reports.
  • Oversee and provide direction and support to the Nurse Practitioner and nursing staff on client health care needs.
  • Serve as senior executive liaison to the Board of Directors and community/partner agencies.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Addictions or Health related field;
  • Certified by a recognized Canadian alcohol and drug certification body;
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a senior Leadership role;
  • Experience in administration and addictions fields and counselling programs;
  • Knowledge and understanding of the links between addictions treatment and health issues at the First Nations community level;
  • Experience working with budget maintenance and reporting in excess of $2M;
  • Experience in facilitating groups, public speaking, presentations; and writing reports;
  • Must possess valid CPR & First Aid Training.

  • The ability to speak/understand the Cree language.

Compensation

Base pay $123,869 - $159,884 per annum, plus Northern Allowance, Housing Subsidy, Extended Health Care, and Group Pension.
