You will play a key role in ensuring performance expectations, feedback processes, compensation decisions, and rewards practices recognize performance outcomes, are externally competitive, internally equitable, and aligned with Winpak’s business priorities and pay-for-performance principles.

This is an opportunity to help shape enterprise-wide programs that support accountability, employee engagement, and business performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performance Management
    • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the Winpak performance management framework, including annual goal setting, mid-year discussions, year-end reviews, talent review inputs, and calibration processes.
    • Establish clear timelines, tools, training materials, communications, and leader guidance to support consistent execution of the performance management cycle across business units.
    • Enable a simple, meaningful, and evidence-based coaching and feedback process that helps employees understand expectations and succeed against role accountabilities, annual goals, and Winpak Values.
  • Compensation & Rewards
    • Develop, maintain, and administer Winpak’s base pay framework, including salary structures, salary bands, job slotting, job titling, market positioning, and internal equity.
    • Support the design and administration of variable compensation programs that recognize business performance, individual contribution, and pay-for-performance principles, including practical experience designing and implementing sales incentive programs.
    • Lead the annual compensation review process, including preparation of tools, timelines, guidelines, communications, analysis, and recommendations for leadership review and approval.
    • Conduct market compensation analysis, job matching, salary benchmarking, and geographic differential reviews to inform compensation framework construction and facilitate decision making.
    • Provide guidance to HR Business Partners and leaders on compensation policy interpretation, pay decisions, job evaluation, and equitable application of compensation frameworks and compliance.
  • Analytics, Governance & Continuous Improvement
    • Use data and analytics to assess the effectiveness, consistency, equity, and competitiveness of performance and compensation programs, and prepare reports, recommendations, and presentation materials for the CHRO, Executive Committee, business leaders, and other stakeholders.
    • Monitor external trends, market practices, legislative requirements, and emerging best practices in performance management and compensation, while identifying opportunities to simplify processes, improve leader and employee experience, strengthen accountability, and support enterprise alignment.
Required Qualifications
  • Post Secondary Education in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of related experience in performance management, compensation, rewards, HR analytics, or HR program design.
  • Experience with compensation principles, job evaluation, market benchmarking, salary structures, performance management, and pay-for-performance frameworks.
  • Practical experience designing and implementing sales incentive programs.
  • Advanced analytical capability, including strong Excel skills and experience working with HR systems and compensation data.
  • Hands‑on proficiency with data and data modeling tools and techniques.
  • Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear guidance for leaders and employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with HR and business leaders, influence without direct authority, manage multiple priorities, and deliver practical enterprise-wide solutions.
