Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services seeks a Manager of Financial Reporting in Ontario, Toronto, to lead external reporting, close processes, and internal controls. You will prepare board materials, stay current with IFRS/Realpac, and coordinate audits with external firms.

The ideal candidate holds a CPA (CA), 3+ years post-qualification, and a degree in accounting or finance. Strong communication, analytical skills, and knowledge of IFRS are essential; automotive/real estate experience is a plus.

• Minimum of 3+ years of post-qualification experience
• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business related discipline
• Significant experience with external reporting, including financial statements, notes, and consolidations
• Strong communication of financial results to senior executives
• Solid analytical and problem solving skills
• Extensive working knowledge of IFRS
• Strong working knowledge of general ledger and reporting systems
• Automotive sector and Real Estate industry experience is a plus

About the Opportunity

• Prepare Board of Director and Audit Committee presentations
• Maintain a current knowledge base and keep abreast of developments which may impact (i.e. IFRS and Realpac)
• Oversee the quarterly close process, including the maintenance of internal controls over the system and any enhancements
• Maintaining internal control framework - control environment, risk assessment, control activities, communication and monitoring activities.
• Ensure compliance with all related tax authorities, including HST, PST, etc.
• Co-ordinate year-end audit and quarterly functions with external auditors and prepare all necessary review documents
• Demonstrate leadership competencies; with focus on attainment of goals and meeting established timelines
• Adhere to all government regulations policies and procedures

About You

• CPA (CA) designation

Salary Range

$110,000 - $125,000 / year
