Job summary

Vaco by Highspring in Toronto, Ontario invites a Manager FP&A to lead planning, forecasting, and monthly results review for senior management, supporting growth strategies and governance.

You will partner with technology and operations leaders, drive dashboards and KPIs, oversee budgeting and rolling forecasts, and champion process automation to improve accuracy and timeliness. Must reside in Greater Toronto Area and be eligible to work in Canada.

Qualifications

• CPA/MBA/CFA designation in Canada required.
• Strong FP&A, management reporting, variance analysis, forecasting, and KPI dashboards.
• Experience partnering with senior leadership in a growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly financial processes including month-end closing and rolling forecasts.
• Oversee monthly management reporting to leadership and coordinate annual planning.
• Collaborate with business leaders to gather assumptions for planning and budgeting.
• Enhance accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and modelling.
• Support growth initiatives through cost management insights.
• Drive dashboards, KPIs, and the corporate scorecard.

Our client is an engineering company. They are looking for a Manager FP&A who will be responsible for the development of planning and forecasting processes, models, preparation, and review of monthly results to senior management, contributing to growth strategies, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies.

About the Opportunity

• Support monthly financial processes including month-end closing and rolling forecasts; oversee monthly management reporting to leadership; coordinate the annual strategic planning and budgeting processes; a Engage closely with business and functional leaders to gather key assumptions and data for planning, forecasting, and budgeting
• Enhance the accuracy, completeness, consistency and timeliness of management financial reporting and financial modelling used for business cases, forecasts and business planning.
• Support growth in new orders, backlog and revenues while providing insights and recommendations around cost management initiatives through periodic reviews with leaderships.
• Support overall objective of enabling line-of-business and department leaders to achieve their business plan commitments while driving accountability
• Responsible for the financial business partnering for the Technical Services area including reporting on key metrics
• Continuous improvement and governance: a Accurate & timely updating of Dashboards, KPIs, Corporate Scorecard and monthly FP&A calendar

Evaluate current processes and recommend changes to improve efficiency and accuracy;

• Pursuing automation in all areas of finance to create a more robust, timely, accurate and consistent processes

About You

• CPA, MBA or CFA; must be designated in Canada
• Technical Skillset: FP&A, management reporting, variance analysis, forecasting, business planning, capital project support, resource planning, overhead rates, utilization/chargeability analysis, dashboards and financial business partnering

Salary Range

$140,000 - $150,000/year
