The Yukon Water Board is an independent administrative tribunal established under the Waters Act. The Yukon Water Board Secretariat provides administrative support to the Board, works on the Board’s behalf, and is staffed through the Executive Council Office.
The Yukon Water Board Secretariat is seeking a Manager of Licensing. This position is responsible for leading a team of Licensing Officers to support the Board’s licensing process with responsibilities under the Waters Act and for certain functions of the Placer Mining Act.
Reporting to the Director of the Secretariat, the Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the unit to ensure the efficiency of workflow, consistency of service standards, and fair application of new regulations, rules, and procedures. The Manager also provides consistent advice to applicants and industry during the project planning and application stages and supports the Director and Board with technical and licence-specific advice.
