The Manager of Learning Solutions leads the strategic planning and prioritization of courseware across all Business Aviation Training (BAT) and Helicopter Aviation Training (HAT) programs. This role ensures the training portfolio remains compliant, continuously improved, and aligned with business unit and organizational goals and priorities. This includes, managing the full lifecycle of training programs, from concept to deployment, ensuring relevance, scope management, prioritization, and operational efficiency.

The Manager cultivates strong partnerships across various internal teams and departments to manage cross-functional processes, support innovative learning solutions, and drive excellence in training delivery. The role also manages initiatives that require coordination and communication with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to support strategic alignment and partnership.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategic planning and prioritization of courseware across aviation training programs to ensure alignment with organizational goals and evolving business needs.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of training programs ensuring relevance, compliance, continuous improvement, scope management, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage cross-functional processes to support seamless collaboration and execution across internal teams and departments.
  • Support business development, customer engagement, and product alignment initiatives to ensure training solutions meet evolving market and client needs.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects that support the implementation, adoption, and evolution of business strategies and initiatives.
Qualifications & Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/qualifications.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of management experience.
  • Highly desirable: Pilot License
  • Familiarity in aviation, particularly business aviation.
  • Ability to travel quarterly and collaborate effectively across multiple time zones.
Skills & Experience
  • Experience as a People Manager, leading a global and diverse team managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in working with Training and Development teams and delivering training products to global audiences and/or formal adult learning development experience.
  • Strong understanding of business management, financial, and leadership principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy while supporting business development, customer engagement, operational initiatives, and product alignment in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of working and communicating with various levels, both within and outside the company, including senior management, technical staff, and end users.
  • Maintain corporate governance and regional communication to the satisfaction of CAE internal stakeholders.
  • High-level attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills.
  • Highly proficient with MS Office suite and modern business-enabling tools.
  • Support strategic initiatives being customer-facing representing the Company in a positive regard.
  • Strong analytical, facilitation and problem-solving skills, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of financials and KPIs, reporting project status to senior management.
  • Experience managing consultants and suppliers, negotiating Statement of Work (SOW) and contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodology.
