About the position:

The Canadian Energy Manager-in-Training Program is designed to provide mentorship and support to develop future leaders at Canadian Energy. The program offers the opportunity to learn Canadian Energy operations, procedures, and products, while developing managerial skills and business acumen. Successful completion prepares candidates to independently manage operations at a Canadian Energy branch, accelerating their career into a management role.

During the program, a typical week includes:

  • Shadowing experienced managers to understand operations, policies, procedures, and products.
  • Participating in hands-on training in operations, team management, performance monitoring, and customer relations.
  • Developing leadership skills by taking on small management responsibilities under supervision.
  • Analyzing financial and operational reports to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Working on projects addressing business needs and demonstrating leadership potential.
  • Assisting in customer relationship management and promoting a positive business environment.

Location:

This position is based in Edmonton for the first 12 months, working with the Edmonton Operations Team. Upon completing the program, the candidate may be offered a full-time managerial position at a location determined by availability, with flexibility and enthusiasm for exploring different regions across Canada being essential.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 3 to 5 years of professional growth with leadership potential.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Experience in warehousing, automotive, manufacturing, supply chain, or transportation.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, results-oriented, and passionate about learning.
  • Diplomacy, negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
  • High integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
