Job summary

Brobston Group LLC is seeking a Manager, Human Resources Programs to lead HR operational programs from our Central Office in Toronto in a hybrid environment. The role oversees associate relations, policy maintenance, benefits and compensation administration, health and safety, and leave management.

The incumbent partners with leaders to deliver training, support performance cycles, ensure compliance with provincial legislation, and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; CHRP an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading HR operational functions and programs; retail HR experience preferred.
  • Experience with Workday or similar HRIS and advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Knowledge of provincial employment legislation including ESA, AODA/IASR, Occupational Health & Safety, and Human Rights.
  • Bilingual in English and French considered a strong asset.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem solving, and continuous improvement orientation; adaptable between tactical execution and strategic focus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day associate relations cases and advise leaders on workplace matters.
  • Maintain and review HR policies and translate updates into clear associate-facing content.
  • Administer benefits and compensation processes including benchmarking, onboarding, lifecycle changes, and open enrollment.
  • Own national health & safety and leave management programs.
  • Support and deliver leader training and manage the annual performance assessment cycle.
  • Lead pay equity compliance, job evaluations, and the service recognition program.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve HR processes and foster engagement.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the HR Coordinator.
