What Is The Opportunity

Aecon Civil is a market leader in infrastructure, helping expand and improve Canada’s networks. As the Human Resources Manager, you will oversee HR functions including employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, training, and compensation for the project. You will collaborate with project and partner teams to align HR strategies with business goals and enhance employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Employee Relations: Manage conflicts, handle employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and coach managers and employees.
2. Recruitment: Advise on role requirements, support workforce planning, and participate in interviews.
3. Compensation & Benefits: Coordinate with parent HR teams on disability case management.
4. Talent Management: Support performance reviews, facilitate talent and succession planning, and identify training needs.
5. HR Team Management: Maintain communication with home company HR teams regarding project HR issues.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management.
• Experience in an HR Business Partner role, with leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with high resiliency.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
