Overview

KPMG’s Management Consulting practice helps organizations leverage change. The data intelligence and engineering team supports data-informed decision-making through developing and implementing advanced solutions utilizing structured and unstructured data in complex technical environments.

What You Will Do
The successful candidate will participate in business intelligence and data engineering mandates using Snowflake technology. Responsibilities include assessing current practices, developing strategies, roadmaps, dashboards, performance indicators, data models, and analyzing data for timely decision-making. The role requires over 6+ years of IT experience, with a focus on Snowflake data specialization, including design, data modeling, development, and performance tuning.

  • Support the design and implementation of Snowflake data architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Develop and maintain data models, data warehouses, and data lakes on Snowflake.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop data solutions.
  • Design, build, and test end-to-end data pipelines including ingestion, integration, and curation.
  • Develop and deploy scalable data pipelines and ETL processes on cloud infrastructure using Azure, Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, Cosmos DB.
  • Define and automate jobs and testing processes.
  • Optimize data pipelines for workload support and use cases.
  • Support mission-critical applications and near real-time data needs.
  • Address data and environment issues, perform impact, root cause analysis, and maintenance.
  • Implement data models, transformations, and schemas for analytics and reporting.
  • Optimize Snowflake performance, including query tuning and resource management.
  • Present Snowflake service offerings and develop new platform services.
  • Grow regional Snow Squad expertise through training and certification.

What You Bring To The Role
Requirements include a university degree in relevant fields, 6+ years of business intelligence experience, 4+ years in Snowflake development, and familiarity with related tools and technologies. Experience in the financial or insurance sectors and knowledge of cloud platforms are assets. Certifications in Snowflake and Databricks are advantageous.
