Job summary

University of Ottawa is seeking an experienced events and client relations leader to manage in-house and outsourced services for campus events and summer hoteling. You will focus on supplier relations, client satisfaction, and space optimization, negotiating agreements and driving revenue growth.

The role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership, and the ability to operate within an auto-financed model while maintaining high standards of service and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in event management, hotel management, or equivalent.
• At least 10 years related experience in hotel/restaurant,event management or related fields.
• At least 8 years in a team management role.
• Bilingual in French and English with validated proficiency at Low Advanced or higher.

Responsibilities

• Establishes vision, goals, and target markets for events; develop performance metrics and align with dept strategies.
• Builds strong relationships with stakeholders to foster collaboration and ensure customer-centric service.
• Provides strategic guidance to operations; manages resources, staffing, and budgets; ensures timelines and quality.
• Oversees IT platforms for bookings and space management to improve productivity and reduce errors.
