Job summary

HUNGRY in Ottawa is seeking an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day catering, delivery, and event operations across the market. You will coordinate Captains, ensure on-time execution, and partner with Sales and Food Partner Management to deliver exceptional client meals and events.

You will manage hub readiness, scheduling, and inventory while coaching Hub Operators and onsite staff. Travel within the market, strong people skills, and a passion for hospitality are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years in an operations role in catering, food service, or logistics.
• Experience managing employees and contractors.
• Live event planning and on-site logistics proficiency.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Occasional travel within market

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day catering, delivery, and event operations in the assigned market.
• Coordinate local network of Captains and ensure on-time execution.
• Recruit, onboard, and train Captains; partner with Sales and Food Partner Management.
• Oversee hub readiness and inventory; manage scheduling and vendor relations.
• Monitor service quality and report market metrics to National Director of Operations.
• Maintain food safety and workplace safety compliance.
• Lead direct employees including Hub Operators, General Managers, Hospitality Associates.
