Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Business Risk for RBC Wealth Management and embedded in WM’s 1st line of defense, the Manager Business Risk is a trusted adviser to Senior Leaders in WM, particularly within the WM Strategy, Products & Digital Investing (SP&DI) team. The role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining RBC’s Operational Risk Framework, supporting risk management practices, and collaborating with various business units to ensure effective risk oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and ensure compliance with the Operational Risk Framework within the SP&DI team.
• Support the execution of RBC’s RCM program and ensure adherence to policies.
• Assist in enhancing RBC’s Internal Control Management Policy and control testing methods.
• Contribute to the development and monitoring of Risk Appetite and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
• Support issues management, root cause analysis, and reporting for governance forums.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of experience in Brokerage, Banking, Operational Risk, Audit, or Compliance.
• University Degree and relevant industry qualifications (e.g., securities, options, futures, investment management).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Tableau, and data analysis.

Preferred Skills

• Professional designations such as MBA, CPA, CFA.
• Knowledge of brokerage and banking products, processes, and regulations.
• Experience with securities operations and Canadian investment regulations.
