Bridgewater Bank is seeking a highly driven Manager, Business Development to cultivate relationships and provide exceptional customer service to the Mortgage Broker network within their territory. The role involves promoting Bridgewater Bank’s products, services, and value proposition to support strategic objectives.

This position is a key promoter of Bridgewater Bank’s brand in the marketplace. Working alongside Underwriters and other Business Development Managers, the role focuses on identifying and nurturing mortgage broker relationships. Success relies on superior customer service, innovative outreach, and effective market engagement.

This role is home-based with significant travel within the sales territory, including attending meetings and conferences.

What You’ll Do
  • Report to the Director, National Sales.
  • Create action plans to maintain and grow relationships, meet sales targets, and optimize mortgage funding ratios.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
  • Stay knowledgeable about products and industry trends to promote value.
  • Collaborate with underwriting and other managers to improve client experience and operational efficiency.
  • Provide solutions-based support to brokers while managing risk and ensuring timely processing.
  • Partner with marketing to source new initiatives and market insights.
  • Attend industry events and provide feedback on market trends.
  • Build relationships with external industry partners to foster collaboration and achieve sales goals.
What You’ve Done
  • Post-secondary degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of direct sales experience in the mortgage industry, with a proven track record.
  • Strong relationship management, sales, and networking skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Deep knowledge of the mortgage industry, brokers, and market trends.
  • Understanding of mortgage insurers, high ratio, and conventional lending.
  • Proven ability to achieve results and foster stakeholder relationships.
  • AMP designation is preferred.
