POSITION PURPOSE : The Business Development Director is responsible for driving revenue growth with new customers and expanding American Expediting’s client base. This individual will develop and execute strategies to identify new opportunities and lead initiatives that align with the company’s growth objectives.
REPORTS TO : Vice President of Sales
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to expand American Expediting’s market presence and drive revenue growth with new customers.
Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform business strategies and identify areas for growth.
Track and report sales performance metrics, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including lead generation, prospecting, and closing high-value deals.
Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements, ensuring favorable terms for both the company and its clients.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Represent American Expediting at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings to build brand awareness and establish credibility.
Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, marketing, and account management, to ensure seamless service delivery and client retention.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of American Expediting’s services and capabilities.
Educate potential and existing customers on the value of our logistics solutions.
