Job summary

University of Alberta is seeking a Manager of Accommodation Services to lead operational delivery for accommodation-related services across campus. The role ensures timely, student-centered, legally compliant service delivery while balancing staff capacity, budgets, and evolving student needs.

The Manager will empower a dedicated team, cultivate campus-wide accessibility culture, and oversee resources and workflows to provide high-quality supports such as assistive technology, alternate formats,

Qualifications

Strong leadership and staff development capabilities.
Experiences with accommodation services for disabled students.
Knowledge of accessibility legislation and policy frameworks.
Ability to balance budget, risk, and service quality.
Excellent communication with diverse campus stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a diverse team of accessibility professionals.
Build relationships with faculty, staff and external partners to streamline workflows.
Oversee daily operations of services including assistive tech, alternate formats and educational supports.
Manage budgets, purchasing, grant reporting and asset lifecycle for equipment.
Continuously evaluate and modernize service delivery to meet evolving student needs.
