Job summary

Health Shared Services is seeking a Maintenance Worker II for Olds Hospital and Care Centre to perform routine maintenance on buildings and systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation. The role includes drywall, flooring and painting tasks, plus minor plumbing and equipment care.

Under general supervision, you will handle semi-skilled maintenance and repair of structural, mechanical and electrical components, with on-call shifts and a 7.75-hour day pattern.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent.
• Possession of a valid driver's licence.
• Power Engineer 5th Class Certificate required where boiler support is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative and demand maintenance on the building exterior and interior.
• Repair drywall, floors and paint; assist with minor plumbing.
• Check equipment for pressure and temperature; disassemble equipment for cleaning.

Your Opportunity

As a Maintenance Worker II, you may perform routine preventative and demand maintenance activities within the exterior and interior of the building. Under general supervision, you may perform a variety of semi-skilled maintenance and repair work on facility architectural, structural and mechanical systems/components to ensure safety and efficient operation of the building systems and equipment. You may perform a wide range of general maintenance duties including maintenance and repair of drywall, floors and painting. Additional duties may include minor plumbing repair; minor repairs on equipment; checks on equipment for pressure and temperature; and disassembly of equipment for cleaning.
