Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a Maintenance Worker I for Grande Prairie Regional Hospital. You will perform routine groundskeeping and maintenance tasks and assist tradespeople as part of a facilities team.

Minimum qualifications include Grade 10 and a valid driver's licence. The role includes a remote retention allowance up to $3,000 annually and a daytime shift pattern with weekends off. Temporary full-time appointment with a start date in October 2026.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent.
• Possession of a valid driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine grounds keeping and facility maintenance.
• Work independently and/or as part of a team to maintain lawns, flower beds, trees and shrubs, collect and dispose garbage, remove snow and ice, spread salt and sand, clean mechanical rooms and shop areas, and assist tradespeople and other maintenance staff as needed.
