Job summary

Winnipeg Regional Health Authority in Churchill Health Centre is seeking a casual Maintenance worker to perform routine maintenance and repairs on building, equipment and grounds. You will log repairs and assist in preventive maintenance programs, reporting issues beyond local capacity to the Capital Projects/Facility Manager.

Qualifications include Grade 12, a valid driver’s license, ability to work independently or in a team, and a commitment to safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform routine maintenance on all building, equipment and grounds.
• Demonstrated commitment to safe working practices and environment.
• Working knowledge of Fire and Building Codes.
• Pro-active problem-solving skills, and demonstrated ability to operate on own initiative.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Must be available to take twenty-four hour on-call.
• Able to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Understanding of confidentiality and its importance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs of Churchill RHA property and equipment.
• Log repairs, notes and reports potential or new repairs.
• Assist in preventative maintenance program.
