Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day upkeep, maintenance, and smooth operation of our facility in Canada. You will perform regular maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure safety and reliability.

The role requires proficient English communication, a valid driver's license, physical fitness, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with team members.

Qualifications

  • Regular maintenance tasks including lighting, carpentry, painting, drywall, plumbing, and tile repair.
  • Repair interior walls and install drywall as needed.
  • Inspect facilities and perform furniture maintenance and repairs.
  • Ad-hoc duties such as window/door repairs and mounting shelving and poles.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular maintenance and repairs as listed.
  • Inspect the facility for malfunctions and safety.
  • Carry out window/door repairs and shelving mounting tasks.
  • Operate manual and powered tools safely.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

You will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day upkeep, maintenance, and smooth operation of the facility.

As a Maintenance Technician, You Will
  • Perform regular maintenance on the facility including changing light bulbs, carpentry, painting, minor drywall repair, minor plumbing, and tile repair
  • Repairing Interior walls, installing drywall for repair or replacement
  • Inspect the facility and other structures to detect malfunctions, furniture maintenance and conduct repairs accordingly
  • Ad-Hoc duties such as Window and door repairs, mounting curtain poles, track, and fixture shelves
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned
About You
  • Possess excellent communication skills in English both oral and written
  • Valid Driver's license and a good driving record
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of this position
  • Comfortable with heavy lifting and extensive walking around the facility
  • Ability to operate related equipment such as manual or electric tools
  • Ability to work independently as well as get along with others
  • Should be highly detail oriented as well as ability to multitask
  • Must be aware and or trained on the safe use of equipment, site safety practices, fire prevention and work regulations
  • Three-year sobriety, from alcohol, drugs (legal & Illegal), and any mind-altering substance required
  • Criminal Record Check
  • 3 references
  • Proof of immunization and TB test
  • Naloxone and First Aid training
