Job summary

Civeo Crown Services Employees LP in Fort McMurray, AB, is seeking a Maintenance Worker to support lodge operations. The incumbent will perform maintenance and repairs, keep records, and assist with safety compliance, reporting to a supervisor.

The role involves a 21 days on / 7 days off rotation, with days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Responsibilities include daily and monthly maintenance checklists, light building maintenance, door/lock repairs, blinds installation, grounds

Qualifications

• Experience working in building maintenance.
• Valid driver's license and ability to provide a driving abstract.
• Good English communication, both verbal and written.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly and monthly maintenance checklists and keep records.
• Assist with safety compliance and basic repairs around the lodge.
• Light maintenance tasks: bulbs, cleaning, room checks, washrooms.
• Repair doors/locks, install blinds, respond to emergency maintenance.
• Grounds keeping and snow/ice removal as needed.
• Handle garbage removal and other duties as assigned.

Job description

Civeo Crown Services Employees LP is currently looking to fill a position for a Maintenance Worker at one of our lodges located near Fort McMurray, AB. Being an integral part of the team, the incumbent is responsible for the overall maintenance and repair duties. Reporting to the designated supervisor, the successful candidate will work 21 days on and 7 days off rotation, which may include days, nights, weekend shifts, and statutory holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
• Assist with the monthly building maintenance safety compliance.
• Light building maintenance which includes: changing light bulbs, furnace and electrical/mechanical room cleaning, room checks for basic maintenance inspections, washroom maintenance, programming TV and remote controls, clean the boot boys, etc.
• Repairs doors, door locks and closets; install window blinds.
• Respond to basic emergency maintenance request as required.
• Clean and/or replace air exchanger filters on a regular basis.
• Grounds keeping including emptying and maintaining all ashtrays around the lodge; cleaning the guard shacks; and removing snow and spreading ice melt around the lodge as needed.
• Perform garbage removal inside and outside of the lodge.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience working in building maintenance.
• Valid driver's license.
• Provide a current and satisfactory copy of driver's abstract.
• Current, valid First Aid certification is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to move, lift, carry, pull, push, and place objects away weighing up to 50 lbs.
