Job summary

Cambridge Suites Hotel is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep our guest rooms and facilities in top condition, ensuring safety, cleanliness and a welcoming atmosphere for every guest.

You will perform a range of upkeep tasks, including plumbing, painting, carpentry, electrical repairs, and routine mechanical maintenance, while working independently and as part of a friendly team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in general maintenance across multiple trades, including plumbing, painting, carpentry and basic electrical work.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with attention to safety.
• Willingness to be on call and work flexible shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform ceramic tile installation, grouting, and repairs
• Handle basic carpentry work and assist with building projects
• Carry out plumbing repairs on toilets, showers, and bathtubs
• Repair drywall and perform painting touch-ups
• Conduct small appliance and furniture repairs
• Fix doors, windows, and hardware
• Perform electrical repairs (fixtures, outlets)
• Complete regular mechanical maintenance and chemical maintenance routines
• Assist with the inventory of maintenance supplies
• Inspect and maintain guest rooms according to set standards
• Safely lift heavy objects and work at heights when needed
• Support the team with additional maintenance tasks as required
• Interact with guests and team members in a courteous and professional manner
