Job summary

Killam Apartment REIT in Halifax, NS is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a growing portfolio and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

You will perform maintenance, repair and renovations on residences, install trim items, and handle plumbing/electrical tasks. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required. We offer competitive pay and benefits, with on-call rotation as part of the role.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in a similar role.
• Ability to work as part of a team, and also under minimal supervision.
• Effective, proven skills and experience.
• Renovations experience is considered an asset.
• Plumbing, electrical, or HVAC experience is considered an asset.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, molding and hardware.
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences.
• General maintenance and painting.
• Knowledge of plumbing, minor electrical, carpentry, etc.
• Participation in an on-call rotation.
• All other duties as required.

What you will do:
