Job summary

Killam Apartment REIT seeks a Maintenance Technician in Victoria, BC, with potential travel to Comox and Courtenay. You will perform trims installation, general maintenance, and renovations to residences, applying skills in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. A driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Valid British Columbia driver’s license is required.

• Renovations experience is an asset.
• Plumbing, electrical, or HVAC experience is an asset.

We are currently searching for a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Victoria, BC. This position may entail some travel to our properties in Comox and Courtenay. This is an exciting and challenging position in a growth-oriented organization. What you will do:

• Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, molding and hardware;
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences;
• General maintenance and/or painting;
• Knowledge of plumbing, minor electrical, carpentry, etc.;
• Participation in an on call rotation;
• Snow removal required during winter months;
• All other duties as required.

Who you are:

• 3-5 years' experience in a similar role;
• Ability to work as a team, and also under minimal supervision;
• Effective, proven skills and experience;
• Renovations experience an asset;
• Plumbing, electrical, or HVAC experience an asset;
• Must have a valid British Columbia driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
