Job summary
Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited in British Columbia is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support maintenance of our casino facilities and grounds.
This full-time, Monday to Friday role from 8am to 4pm offers a stable schedule and a salary range of $48,920 to $55,035.
The ideal candidate has at least two years of relevant experience, trades knowledge, and a proactive, safety-conscious mindset, with a valid BC license.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a maintenance related field.
- Knowledge in plumbing, HVAC, tiling, carpentry, finishing, minor electrical, and related areas.
- Skilled in maintenance practices, procedures, and repair work, with hand tools and equipment common to building trades.
- Working knowledge of Outlook (Word and Excel) is an asset.
- Valid BC License.
- Ability to work flexible hours and be on call 24/7 to respond to emergencies.
- Positive attitude, proactive, and skilled mindset.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day operations and maintenance of Casino facility and grounds.
- Assist with the operations of the Building Automated System as directed.
- Perform inspections and maintenance as required on Casino floor, offices, kitchen facilities, washrooms, all parking areas and grounds.
- Ensure all safety standards as described in WorkSafe regulations are adhered to including protective equipment and clothing.
- Assist in repairing and/or troubleshooting of minor plumbing, electrical and mechanical issues.
- Establish and maintain a well-equipped and organized workshop.
- Assist with purchasing parts and controlling inventory, while supporting budget planning and cost-saving initiatives.
