Chard Development Ltd. in Vancouver is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day operations across our managed properties, ensuring safety, comfort and reliable building systems.

You will respond to resident requests, perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems, and document work in our CMMS. Travel between sites required; valid driver’s license expected.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
Familiarity with hand and power tools, safety practices, and maintenance protocols.
Experience with CMMS platforms is an asset.
Trade certification or Building Operator training is a plus.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation - travel between sites will be required for this role.

Responsibilities

Perform daily, weekly and preventive maintenance on building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and life safety equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair issues as they come up, prioritizing first-time-right completion.
Complete all work orders to a high standard focusing on safety and quality.
Monitor building systems and equipment, flag issues and recommend fixes.
Communicate with Maintenance Supervisor and property management team to keep operations running smoothly.
Log all completed work in the CMMS, ensuring records are up to date and compliant with codes.
Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies when needed.
