Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for all building maintenance duties within their assigned locations in a residential multi-family setting.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform general handyman duties including minor plumbing, electrical repairs, and maintenance.
• Repair doors, cabinets, install blinds and light fixtures, drywall patching, carpentry, grouting, painting, and appliance repairs.
• Handle minor plumbing repairs such as fixing drains and leaky taps, installing valves and taps, bathroom renovations, and replacing zone valves.
• Assist in larger plumbing repairs, including replacing burst pipes and soldering.
• Conduct boiler and HVAC inspections, maintenance, and repairs, maintaining thorough logs.
• Perform general repairs to boilers and pumps, ensuring proper functioning.
• Be available for on-call duties, including emergencies and after-hours/weekend work on a rotating schedule.
• Manage tenants' maintenance requests, ensuring satisfaction and timely completion.
• Complete maintenance checklists for unoccupied suites.

Qualifications and Requirements

• At least 2 years of general handyman work experience.
• Experience with minor plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, drywall, soldering, troubleshooting, and appliance repair.
• Flexibility to work regular hours, on-call, weekends, and after-hours emergencies on a rotation basis.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.
• Ability to successfully complete a security clearance.
