Job description

Looking for a career opportunity that will allow you to grow your skills and be part of an exceptional team? Hotel Arts is currently hiring a Maintenance Technician for our Facilities department.

As part of our team, you will work with passionate professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our guests. Your responsibilities will include maintaining and repairing the infrastructure of the complex, refreshing guest rooms, public areas, and meeting rooms, and contributing to the growth and development of the Maintenance Department.

Responsibilities:
  1. Complete daily rounds of all areas of the building, monitoring the operation of the Complex’s infrastructure, and making adjustments as needed to ensure efficient operation.
  2. Perform preventative maintenance on all guest rooms, including heating/cooling, plumbing, lighting, and other operational aspects to ensure guest satisfaction.
  3. Respond promptly to all guest and departmental calls for maintenance deficiencies and requests.
  4. Complete all assigned daily/weekly/monthly Preventative Maintenance Requests in a timely manner.
  5. Update the Chief Engineer/Facilities regarding the completion timeline of engaged projects and any parts and supplies required.
  6. Understand and demonstrate responsibilities in the Emergency Response Plan relevant to your position.
  7. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the growth, development, and presence of the Maintenance Department.
  8. Perform other related duties within your knowledge and skills as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Previous hotel experience is an asset.
  • Trade tickets and/or certifications are an asset.
  • A plumbing ticket is considered an asset.
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule based on business needs, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
