Are you a skilled and dedicated individual with a knack for fixing things and ensuring properties are in top condition? Do you take pride in providing excellent service and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for residents? MillDon Living is seeking a proactive and reliable Maintenance Support Technician to join our team! Located in Sarnia ON, this role supports the maintenance requirements of the Trillium Park community which includes 6 multi-residential building(s).

As a vital part of our property management operations, you'll be responsible for addressing maintenance requests, performing repairs, and ensuring the overall upkeep of our properties, contributing directly to positive resident experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance & Repairs:Perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and appliance repairs, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Preventative Maintenance:Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment to identify and address potential problems before they escalate.
  • Service Requests:Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests, assess the situation, troubleshoot issues, and complete repairs efficiently and effectively.
  • Property Upkeep:Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of common areas, including hallways, lobbies, and amenity spaces, ensuring a welcoming and well-maintained environment.
  • Vendor Coordination:Assist in coordinating with external vendors for specialized repairs or services, ensuring work is completed to MillDon Living's standards and within budget.
  • Inventory Management:Maintain accurate records of tools, equipment, and supplies, and proactively manage inventory levels to ensure availability for maintenance tasks.
  • Emergency Response:Respond to emergency maintenance situations, such as leaks, floods, or power outages, taking necessary steps to mitigate damages and ensure resident safety.
  • Compliance:Adhere to all safety regulations, building codes, and company policies, ensuring a safe and compliant environment for residents and staff.
  • Communication:Maintain clear and effective communication with residents, property managers, and other team members regarding maintenance activities and updates.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in maintenance and repair, preferably within a property management setting.
  • Strong technical skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and perform repairs efficiently and effectively.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Working knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
