Job summary

Neptune Bulk Terminals (NBT) seeks a Scheduler, Maintenance to develop and manage preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance schedules at our North Vancouver facility. You will coordinate parts, labor, and materials, prioritise tasks by criticality, and work closely with operations to minimise disruption to terminal activities.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s in engineering or maintenance, with 3+ years in scheduling in heavy industry or waterfront settings.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering or maintenance related courses.
• Minimum 3 years scheduling experience in a heavy industrial setting or the waterfront industry; 3–5 years preferred.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance scheduling processes, tools, and CMMS implementations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with planners to ensure parts, materials, labor, and equipment are available for scheduled work.
• Prioritize maintenance work based on equipment criticality and safety considerations.
• Collaborate with operations to minimize disruption to terminal operations and production schedules.
• Monitor and adjust schedules for priority changes or resource availability.
• Ensure timely completion of scheduled maintenance and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Update CMMS with accurate scheduling information and track metrics like schedule adherence.
• Work with Lead Planner to align maintenance with long-term plans.
• Participate in planning meetings to review progress and issues.
• Support major maintenance events such as shutdowns with proper sequencing.
