Headlines:

In the role of Maintenance Planner/Scheduler in Chilliwack, BC, you will be part of the Maintenance and Engineering team at our Fraser Valley brewery. Your responsibility will be to contribute to the World Class Maintenance Program by utilizing Reliability Centered Maintenance practices to manage maintenance planning and scheduling effectively, optimizing resources, time, and materials. This position reports to the Technical Services Manager.

The targeted salary range is $76,000 - $90,000 based on experience, with bonus, 401k matching, and other benefits included.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive work plans for corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance, including safety info, job steps, parts, tools, and man-hours; plan shop floor mechanical and electrical maintenance work; coordinate with vendors and contractors; prepare parts kitting.
  • Deliver weekly work schedules considering trade availability, contractors, and autonomous maintenance teams, aligning with production schedules and maintenance windows.
  • Maintain a current backlog of work, including Preventative, Predictive, Statutory, and Condition-Based tasks.
  • Ensure maintenance planning and scheduling are properly maintained within the CMMS system.
  • Lead weekly planning and scheduling meetings to coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring work permits, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide quality feedback to improve preventive and predictive maintenance tasks within the CMMS.
  • Backfill Maintenance Team Leaders when needed, supporting operations effectively.
  • Participate in the Progressive Maintenance team, owning Daily Management Systems related to lubrication and maintenance planning & scheduling, and complete ‘step up cards’ to demonstrate knowledge of pillar deliverables.

Other Qualifications:

  • Licensed Tradesman or degree in a technical field, preferably mechanical.
  • Experience working with vendors, sourcing machine parts and electrical components, and communicating with team leaders and trades.
  • Experience as a Maintenance Team Leader is a plus.
  • Proficient in CMMS systems; experience with SAP PM is beneficial.
  • Background in a unionized industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical and people skills, excellent communication, and team orientation.
  • Ability to work independently, adapt to multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadlines.
  • Consent to a criminal background check as part of the recruitment process.
