Maintenance Planner – Aviation (YYZ)

Permanent | Full-Time

Location: Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), Canada

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 06:30 – 15:00

TARCG is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading Canadian aircraft support organization with over 30 years of experience in line maintenance operations. As a subsidiary of a global MRO group within one of the world’s largest ACMI providers, this organization operates across multiple key Canadian airports, supporting a wide variety of domestic and international carriers.

To support their growing team in Toronto, we are now seeking a highly organized and proactive Maintenance Planner to coordinate daily maintenance operations and ensure smooth, compliant workflow across multiple airport stations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review daily flight schedules and coordinate workforce availability to ensure sufficient coverage.
  • Consolidate and monitor operational data across all stations.
  • Prepare daily manpower rosters and oversee work package distribution.
  • Administer customer work orders, including preparation, issuance, and tracking.
  • Review work orders to assess man-hour requirements, tooling, and materials needed.
  • Track work progress and maintain accurate records of man-hours.
  • Complete and submit detailed production planning reports.
  • Scan, file, and manage documentation in compliance with Transport Canada regulations.
  • Audit completed paperwork and work packages daily, identifying errors and reporting trends to management.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of internal workflow processes.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a maintenance planning or similar aviation operations role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or possession of an AME license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, with a high degree of initiative and attention to detail.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt work schedule according to operational needs.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new planning software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and clients.
  • YYZ RAIC and AVOP considered strong assets.
