A leading mining operation in Ontario is seeking a motivated individual for their Reliability Team. This role involves planning and monitoring maintenance to enhance operational efficiency. Ideal candidates will possess relevant technical qualifications and experience in mining environments.
Impala Canada owns and operates the Lac des Iles Mine, located 90 minutes northwest of Thunder Bay, Ontario. In operation for over 30 years, the LDI Mine is one of only two known pure palladium sources in North America. Palladium plays a crucial role in reducing harmful emissions from vehicles through catalytic converters, contributing to a cleaner environment.
The mine features a unique ore body and modern infrastructure, including underground and surface mining and milling operations. Located in Robinson-Superior Treaty territory, the land is the traditional territory of the Anishnaabeg and Métis peoples. Impala Canada partners with local organizations to support healthcare, education, and community development initiatives.
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Reliability Team at the Lac des Iles Mine. Reporting to the Planning / Reliability General Foreman, this position follows a 14-day on / 14-day off schedule.
The role involves producing, updating, and monitoring detailed maintenance plans, managing capacity and resources to address backlog, and identifying opportunities to reduce downtime through preventive and predictive maintenance. The position also involves shutdown planning and collaboration with the reliability engineer.
Ideal candidates will have relevant experience or education such as a Red Seal Technician, Engineer, or Technologist, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a mining or mineral processing environment. Experience with planning and scheduling maintenance is required, as well as knowledge of hoisting/shaft operations.
