Job summary

Magna Cosma International is seeking a Maintenance Systems Planner to maximize plant uptime by scheduling and optimizing preventative maintenance. This role emphasizes data-driven decision making, CMS/CMMS management, and close collaboration with production and trades to drive reliability and efficiency across the maintenance function.

The successful candidate will leverage strong analytical skills, Excel proficiency, and experience with CMMS to deliver accurate maintenance plans and reports,

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of automotive assembly experience (asset).
  • Planning and scheduling experience with strong organizational skills.
  • Experience using CMS and/or CMMS; proficient in Microsoft Excel (asset).
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly (asset).
  • Highly analytical; able to interpret, manipulate, and present data.

Responsibilities

  • Manage maintenance data collection and generate monthly reports.
  • Participate in implementing preventative maintenance applications.
  • Establish and improve the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling process.
  • Ensure tasks are executed as planned and re-plan as needed.
  • Develop cost and time estimates for planned maintenance work.
  • Coordinate downtime with production scheduling for optimal outcomes.
  • Monitor PM completeness and schedule/reschedule to 100% completion.
  • Procure parts, equipment, services and documentation for maintenance work.
  • Attend project reviews and assist long-term planning strategies.
  • Quarterly review of completed PMs and inventory to optimize stock levels.
  • Maintain accuracy of maintenance history and CMMS data.
  • Manage CMS/E-Maintenance CMMS work orders and data integrity.
  • Schedule weekly Preventative Maintenance work orders.
  • Coordinate and plan work orders for internal operations and materials.
  • Participate in KPI tracking and team meetings to review maintenance performance.
  • Contribute to long-range asset planning and materials planning.

Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market.Job Responsibilities:Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000Immediate, Open PositionThe Maintenance Systems Planner is required to maximize operating profit through planned maintenance activities and maximize equipment operational availability through implementing effective planning methods, while maintaining TS/ISO and trade equivalent standards. This is accomplished by scheduling, tracking and evaluating preventative maintenance to plant equipment.REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:1. 3-5 years of automotive assembly experience an asset2. Prior planning and scheduling experience combined with excellent organizational skills3. Experience using CMS and / or CMMS preferred and be proficient in using Microsoft Excel an asset4. Ability to learn new systems and programs quicky as asset5. Highly analytical in nature, able to interpret, manipulate, and present data using exceptional computer skills6. Able to work in conjunction with skilled trades persons7. Able to interpret preventative maintenance feedback and use this feedback to develop and implement action plans that improve our preventative maintenance programs.DUTIES:1. Manage maintenance data collection and information gathering by analysing data for improvements to equipment. Generates monthly reports highlighting issues.2. Participates in the implementation of preventative maintenance applications and software.3. Establish, maintain and improve the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling business flow process. Ensures the execution of all tasks as planned and re-plans as required.4. Constantly revalidates the time requirements of each task, ensures cost to complete are captured and documented.5. Develop cost and time estimates of planned maintenance work. Work with production scheduling to schedule downtime to complete in-week and weekend PM’s that provide the most effective production and maintenance outcomes.6. Monitor PM completeness and schedule/reschedule accordingly to achieve 100% completion7. Purchase all necessary parts, equipment, services and documentation to perform the maintenance work.8. Attend and participate in project review meetings, assist in departments long-term planning strategies.9. At least quarterly review of completed PM’s and inventory with an emphasis on reducing inventory while ensuring the right parts are available when needed.10. Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of equipment maintenance history and records database.11. Responsible for the CMS/E-Maintenance CMMS work order data base and data integrity, keeping files/logs of the equipment and tooling preventative and corrective maintenance.12. Schedules weekly Preventative Maintenance work orders (cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, inspections, small and large repairs).13. Coordinates data and produces reports required daily, weekly and monthly by the Technical Supervisor, Maintenance Area Leader.14. Facilitates in the scheduling of, and participates in, shift crossover meetings.15. Ensure Key Performance Indicators are documented and reported for maintenance department performances, equipment reliability, maintenance department planning and budgeting.16. Facilitates and participates in the weekly team meetings where KPI’s, action item status, and maintenance performance is reviewed, and actions planned.17. Participates in scheduled meetings for long range asset planning.18.
