Kelly is currently hiring for a Maintenance Planner with our prestigious client onsite at Toronto, Ontario M1E 3T9.

Onsite role

Job Description

Creates job packages from work order scopes, containing all necessary information regarding labor, materials, and services to ensure safe, effective, and efficient work execution. Requires broad technical skills in analytical/scientific methods or operational processes. May serve as an informal resource for less experienced team members.

Responsibilities / Duties

1. Use feedback from field personnel to optimize work plans.
2. Review work orders for technical completeness; return incomplete work orders to the gatekeeper.
3. Conduct field checks as needed.
4. Prepare job packages and input plans into tracking systems, indicating required resources, materials, and services.
5. Identify necessary tasks, materials, tools, and equipment for job execution.
6. Gather and include safety information and requirements to ensure safe task performance.
7. Ensure all job packages include procedures or are on the Procedure Exemption list before release, supporting Procedure Use Policy. Verify hazard assessments are included in Maintenance Procedures.
8. Serve as a technical resource during procedure creation and review. Create, modify, update job procedures and checklists, and initiate procedure Management of Change (MOC) when needed.
9. Act as back-up to the Work Activity Coordinator as required.
10. Lead daily and weekly maintenance planning meetings.
11. Understand Life Critical Standards, Safe Work Permits, GMISS, and Inspection/GMISS processes.

Experience

3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance planning.

Skilled trade preferred.
