Job summary

IKO Industries Ltd. is seeking a Maintenance Planner to coordinate and schedule work orders, ensuring parts, drawings, and instructions are ready for maintenance activities. You will work with Production, Engineering, and Reliability teams to optimize assets and maintain CMMS data.

You will lead planning meetings for line shutdowns, prepare labor estimates, and uphold safety and quality standards. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have post-secondary degree/diploma.
• Experience reading standard blueprints, machine and process drawings.
• Strong background with CMMS and maintenance planning processes.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing work requests for accuracy and clarity and approves them as needed.
• Leading weekly planning and scheduling meetings for line shutdowns; manage work order backlog.
• Coordinate with Production Supervisors, Engineering and Reliability to ensure parts, drawings and instructions are ready before work begins.

People like you!Job DescriptionThe Maintenance Planner will be reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler will coordinate, plan and schedule work orders, and intermittently supervise contractor maintenance tasks. Will also ensure all parts are available to perform the jobs, maintain ongoing library of drawings, sketches, pictures and catalogues of parts. Work with Engineering Department and Reliability Engineer to ensure documentation (including drawings, BOM-s, instructions etc.) are readily available for trades people, prior to commencing the workWorking with Inventory Control Coordinator to ensure that all parts required for the jobs have been identified, secured and properly kitted well in advance. Work with external sources (i.e. rental companies) to ensure special tools, aerial equipment etc., as well as service technicians are available as neededProvide job estimates and follow-up to ensure they have been accurately met by the tradespersonsWork with Maintenance Department to ensure tasks have all the necessary instructions, tools and safety precautions for the job at hand. Provides feedback to the Maintenance and Electrical Supervisors prior to completing the work orders that were signed-off by the tradespersons.Lead weekly planning and scheduling meetings for line shutdowns. Provide training and support to maintenance personnel on CMMS as requiredManage work order backlog based on equipment criticality. Provide support to Corporate Reliability Team and collaborates with other IKO Plants as required. Participate actively in any new projects initiated by the Company, such as introduction of predictive maintenance, new CMMS, etc.Keep accurate metrics on performance of planning and scheduling and generate reportsFollows-up with tradespersons and contractors to ensure work requirements associated with preventative maintenance, projects and day-to-day work orders are completedQualifications2-5 years of experience planning/scheduling experience with CMMS. Good working knowledge of MS officeMechanical/Electrical background is required. Ability to read standard blueprints, machine and process drawingsPost-secondary degree/diplomaAdequate knowledge and skill to accurately estimate labor hours, material requirement and skills needed to complete a job. Must have a demonstrated ability to visualize and communicate the execution of workExcellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation). Demonstrated leadership skills.
