Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in the Canadian Rockies is seeking a Maintenance Person to help ensure guest comfort, safety, and a memorable stay.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, respond to emergencies, and uphold safety and sanitation standards.

The role offers starting pay of 24.34 CAD per hour, subsidized staff accommodation, complimentary meals, and exclusive Accor travel programs and discounts.

Qualifications

• Related maintenance experience required.
• High School completion required.
• Valid Alberta driver's license required.
• Technical schooling an asset.
• Pool certification an asset.
• Proficient with Windows apps (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Basic mechanical ability in plumbing, carpentry and maintenance.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently without supervision.

Responsabilités

• Respond to calls from all hotel departments.
• Troubleshoot issues using trade support and manuals.
• Complete preventative maintenance/work order tickets.
• Respond to emergency/fire alarm/power loss calls.
• Ensure the safe condition and operation of equipment.
• Follow safety and sanitation policies and documentation.
• Drive hotel vehicles following safety policies.
• Foster an inclusive environment for all staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Director, Engineering,responsibilitiesand essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Consistently offers professional,engagingand friendly service
• Follow policies,proceduresand service standards
• Respond to all calls as efficiently as possible from all departments within the hotel
• Troubleshoot issues using trade support, source material foundon lineor in owner manuals
• Complete preventative maintenance/work order tickets assigned
• Respond to all emergency/fire alarm/ loss of power calls asrequired
• Responsible for ensuring the safe condition and safe operation of all equipment before use
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies including documentation asrequired
• Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel vehicles

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

• Related maintenance experience required
• High School completion required
• Valid Alberta Drivers License required
• Technical School completion an asset
• Level 1 Pool Certification an asset
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications required (Word, Excel & Power Point)
• Basic mechanical ability, including knowledge of plumbing carpentry and general maintenance
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Responsible and able to complete work without supervision
