Job summary

TreeHouse Foods in Richmond Hill, ON is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our production team on a full-time basis. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production, packaging, and support equipment while upholding safety standards and participating in continuous improvement projects.

The ideal candidate will have a secondary diploma plus a two-year mechanical/electrical technology credential, 2–3 years of maintenance experience (preferably in food manufacturing),

Qualifications

• Secondary School Diploma and 2-year Mechanical/Electrical Technology diploma or equivalent.
• Licensed Millwright or Industrial Electrician, or actively completing an apprenticeship, preferred.
• 2–3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Experience troubleshooting electro-mechanical food processing and packaging equipment.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.

• Follow all safety, PPE, and Lockout/Tagout requirements.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production, packaging, and support equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and minimize equipment downtime.
• Read basic electrical schematics and perform mechanical equipment setup.

• Support continuous improvement and maintenance projects.

Important Details

This is a full-time permanent role on the day shift which operates from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday with some Saturdays. The hourly rate for the role is $ with a night shift premium of $1. The hourly rate for this position is 37.08
