Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator for our Georgetown, ON facility. You will manage the inventory and procurement of maintenance parts to support maintenance activities and coordinate orders with suppliers to keep operations running smoothly.

This is a full-time, on-site role on first shift. You will analyze inventory levels, expedite shipments, and work with the maintenance team to prioritize purchasing needs; CAD 52k–78k annual compensation with potential merit rewards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a related degree is a plus.
  • Experience in inventory management or procurement in industrial settings.
  • Familiarity with SAP and procurement software; strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own the site's effective inventory control program, including setting minimum and economic order quantities.
  • Purchase necessary MRO materials to ensure the availability of parts and supplies for plant operations.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and prioritize purchasing needs.
  • Expedite incoming materials shipments as needed.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely access to needed parts.

Job Description

About the Role: We are seeking a Maintenance Coordinator for our Georgetown, ON facility, a leading manufacturer of quality crackers. The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for managing the inventory and procurement of maintenance parts and supplies to support the maintenance department. This role ensures that all necessary parts are available for maintenance activities, coordinate orders, and maintains accurate inventory records. You will add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

  • Own the sites effective inventory control program, including setting minimum and economic order quantities.
  • Recommend improvements to storeroom layouts and procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Purchase necessary MRO materials to ensure the availability of parts and supplies for plant operations.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and prioritize purchasing needs.
  • Expedite incoming materials shipments as needed.
  • Communicate closely with team members awaiting receipts to prevent disruptions to plant operations.
  • Locate and source critical repair parts, identifying and recommending satisfactory substitutes for unavailable materials and services.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely access to needed parts.
  • Perform regular analyses to determine the most efficient inventory levels required to facilitate timely and effective repairs.
  • Adjust inventory strategies based on analysis findings.
  • Assist other departments with purchasing requests as necessary, ensuring all teams have the materials needed for smooth operations.

This is a full-time, on-site role on first shift. Occasional flexibility is required to support alternate shifts.

The anticipated compensation for this position ranges from $52,000.00 - 78,000.00 CAD annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics and business or organizational needs.

For certain roles, the successful candidate may be eligible for annual discretionary merit compensation award, bonus and equity pay.

You’ll fit right in if you have
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in supply chain management, logistics, or related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in inventory management or procurement, preferably in a maintenance or industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and procurement software such as SAP.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
