Job description

About Us:

AIRE Ancient Baths are temples dedicated to creating the ultimate relaxation experience, where time does not exist. Inspired by the tradition of baths from ancient Roman, Greek, and Ottoman civilizations, the AIRE Experience always takes place in restored historical buildings in the center of globally acclaimed cities.

But what truly brings this experience to life goes beyond walls and water — it's the people behind it. Our true pride lies not only in the experience itself, but in the people who make it possible. At AIRE, we foster an inclusive, human, and collaborative environment. Our culture is rooted in the ambition to achieve the extraordinary, excellence in every detail, diversity as a source of creativity, and a warm and generous spirit that inspires, connects, and evolves.

Our Toronto Location:

Amidst the timeless charm of Toronto’s Fashion District, AIRE finds its home in a historic Edwardian Classicism building, once the office and warehouse of the Copp Clark publishing company. Built in 1912 and later designated a heritage site, its original wood structure and towering pillars remain, preserving the character of its storied past that once held the art of printing and now embraces the art of relaxation.

Honoring its literary and industrial past, the space is adorned with vintage books, printing presses which are subtle echoes of its history. AIRE Toronto offers a unique experience with a dry sauna and a Palestra, an indoor/outdoor bath area seamlessly connected to the interior through two jet baths, creating a tranquil escape where past and present merge in perfect harmony.

The Role:

As a Maintenance Manager, you will join our Toronto team and be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Facilities, assisting in planning, and supervising the work, effectiveness, and safety of facilities maintenance operations. But, above all, it will be your people management that will make you stand out, we are looking for someone that encourages and motivates employees to perform at a consistently high level.

  • Ensure the execution of all preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, following company procedures, installation guidelines, and local regulations.
  • Perform regular inspections of electrical and hydraulic systems, ensuring optimal performance and early detection of any issues.
  • Define, implement, and monitor the annual maintenance plan, adapting it to operational needs and technical requirements.
  • Propose and execute corrective actions in response to operational incidents, ensuring compliance with both legal and internal standards.
  • Maintain all technical areas clean, safe, and fully functional, identifying and coordinating necessary repairs or investments.
  • Monitor and control all pool-related indicators, such as temperature, chlorine levels, pH, filtration, and hygiene, according to local laws and company protocols.
  • Manage inventory and stock control for all maintenance-related materials, placing timely orders to prevent shortages.
  • Actively participate in or delegate attendance to daily briefings, sharing key operational updates such as VIP visits, maintenance alerts, or group events.

  • Train and keep all staff up to date on health and safety protocols, including fire prevention, emergency procedures, and equipment usage.
  • Conduct and log all mandatory measurements and safety checks, guaranteeing alignment with legal and company standards.
  • Keep all facility documentation and contracts (e.g. maintenance providers, inspections) accurate and up to date.
  • Identify and propose sustainable improvements in the use of materials and resources, promoting environmental responsibility.
  • Submit weekly reports to management, including incidents, technical updates, and improvement proposals.
