Job summary

Stone Creek Resorts Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Manager for Silvertip Resort in Canmore, Alberta. The role requires supervising maintenance staff, coordinating with contractors, and upholding safety and budget standards.

Responsibilities include implementing maintenance programs, managing materials, and ensuring timely repairs to protect guest experience and asset value.

Qualifications

• Two years college/vocational training in electrical, mechanical engineering or plumbing.
• Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays and be on call for emergencies.
• Ability to implement maintenance standards and metrics and motivate a team.
• Strong attention to detail on maintenance issues and urgency to fix problems.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and assists maintenance staff/contractors in plumbing, A/C, heating and related systems.
• Oversees cleaning supervision of buildings and staff housing.
• Ensures all maintenance and repairs meet specifications and are timely and cost-effective.
• Orders materials and tools and manages budget guidelines.
• Maintains preventive maintenance programs and documents equipment upkeep.
• Ensures safety of department and building and communicates policies to the team.
• Conducts safety drills and ensures fire/safety inspections are completed.

Maintenance Manager - Silvertip Resort

We are looking for a Maintenance Manager for our Silvertip Resort located in Canmore, Alberta. A successful candidate is required to work as per the company values: Safety, Caring, Integrity, Excellence, Team Spirit and Financial Responsibility.

Responsibilities:

• Supervises and assists maintenance staff/contractors in the maintenance and repair of plumbing, A/C and heating, ice machines, lighting, kitchen equipment, refrigeration, staff housing, emergency generators, switch rooms, etc.
• Resposible for cleaning supervision of the buildings and staff accommodation.
• Ensures all maintenance and repairs are completed on a timely, cost effective basis and according to specifications.
• Orders necessary materials and tools for repairing equipment and keeps within budgetary guidelines.
• Maintains an ongoing preventative maintenance program for the resort.
• Responsible for administering and documenting equipment preventative maintenance and resort preventative maintenance.
• Responsible for the safety of the department and the building.
• Follows company policies and procedures and is able to effectively communicate them to team.
• Conducts fire drills, training classes regarding safety, security, department procedures and service guidelines.
• Ensures all fire and safety inspections are completed and any discrepancies are corrected.
• Ensure that all employees use or wear any equipment, protective devices or clothing required under the Health & Safety Program.
• Any other duties assigned.

Requirements:

• Two years college/vocational training in electrical or mechanical engineering or plumbing plus 6 years work experience, is preferred. Special consideration will be given to those who exhibit exemplary performance.
• Must be required to work nights, weekends and holidays. Be on call for facilities emergencies.
• Ability to implement maintenance standards and metrics and motivate a team to achieve these targets.
• Strong attention to detail to maintenance issues (ex: falling ceiling tiles, chips in a wall, dents in a door, baseboards damaged, etc) and sense of urgency to fix issues before the problems worsen
• Strong knowledge of maintenance repairs, including knowing the right people to call to do the work and the number of hours it will be take to get the repairs done
