Job description

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance, facilities, environmental, and site security functions for a large-scale manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, facility performance, business continuity, and the safety and security of employees, assets, and operations.

LOCATION: Southwest Ontario, near Chatham.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance activities for production equipment, facilities, and utilities to ensure safe and reliable operations.
• Manage preventative maintenance programs, equipment reliability initiatives, and maintenance budgets.
• Drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis and corrective action to improve operational performance.
• Oversee facility projects, equipment installations, and site expansion or modification activities.
• Manage spare parts inventory, contractor services, and maintenance resources to support production requirements.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, emergency preparedness, and business continuity requirements.
• Lead site security programs and investigate security-related incidents to protect employees, assets, and information.

Qualifications

• College diploma, technical degree, or skilled trades certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in maintenance management, equipment reliability, and preventative maintenance systems.
• Experience managing facility infrastructure, utilities, capital projects, and contractor relationships.
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Familiarity with automotive or highly regulated manufacturing quality systems is considered an asset.
• Experience with plastics processing, production equipment, tooling, or automated manufacturing operations is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and drive results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
