Qualifications

  • Postsecondary education is required.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of supervisory/management experience in automotive/high-speed manufacturing.
  • Licensed Skilled Tradesperson (Ontario).
  • Strong leadership, team building and motivational skills with problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent organizational and time/stress management skills.
  • High integrity and dependability with urgency and results orientation.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching and conflict management skills.
  • Combination of office and manufacturing environment.

  • Provides leadership and guidance to ensure plant equipment and maintenance systems function efficiently and safely.
  • Prepares and manages the maintenance budget; maintains inventory of spare parts and materials.
  • Manages daily scheduling of maintenance activities for plant equipment and hourly trades.
  • Develops and executes preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize uptime.
  • Reviews monthly maintenance performance metrics and drives continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Implements and maintains the maintenance work order management system.
  • Oversees maintenance supplies, parts, and equipment management.
  • Supports implementation of new equipment and technology.
  • Manages facility, infrastructure, and equipment improvement projects.
  • Leads maintenance team development and performance management.
  • Ensures consistency of maintenance practices and regulatory compliance.

Job description

  • Provides leadership and guidance to ensure that plant equipment and maintenance systems function in an efficient and safe manner
  • Prepares and manages the maintenance budget. Maintains inventory of spare parts, supplies and materials for critical maintenance repairs
  • Manages the daily scheduling of maintenance activities for plant equipment, facilities, maintenance supervisors, and hourly skilled trades.
  • Develops and executes preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
  • Reviews monthly maintenance performance metrics and recommends and implements continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Implements, maintains, and continuously improves the maintenance work order management system.
  • Oversees the management of maintenance supplies, parts, and equipment.
  • Recommends, evaluates, and supports the implementation of new equipment and technology.
  • Provides technical support and maintenance expertise for engineering and capital projects.
  • Manages facility, infrastructure, and equipment improvement projects.
  • Leads maintenance team development, succession planning, training, and performance management.
  • Ensures consistency of maintenance practices, standards, and resource utilization.
  • Participates in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, cost-reduction, and productivity initiatives.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.

What We're Looking For:

  • Postsecondary education is required
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a supervisory/management capacity in the automotive industry or high-speed manufacturing
  • Licensed Skilled Tradesperson (Province of Ontario)
  • Strong leadership, team building and motivational skills with a comprehensive understanding of critical problem solving
  • Excellent organizational and time and stress management skills to complete the required tasks
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching & conflict management skills
  • Combination of office environment and manufacturing environment
