Job description

Millar Western Forest Product’s Slave Lake Pulp Division is in search of a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Maintenance and Engineering Manager. Reporting to the General Manager the successful candidate will be an integral member of the site’s leadership team and responsible for the mill’s preventative maintenance processes, operational reliability, capital project activities, and maintenance and repair programs.

The ideal candidate

The successful candidate will have an Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance background with proven responsibilities in preventive and predictive maintenance, asset reliability and project management. Applicants must have several years of progressively responsible management experience in a manufacturing environment, along with strong leadership, interpersonal and communications skills. A background in pulp manufacturing, experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, and a proven track record in continuous‑improvement and performance‑management programs would be assets.
