Job summary

Lynn Rodens is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for a D Pulp Mill Operations site in Canada. The role leads mechanical and/or electrical maintenance within a continuous-process pulp mill, partnering with Operations and Engineering to keep equipment reliable and downtime minimal.

You will oversee skilled trades, plan preventive maintenance, coordinate with production, and drive safe work practices in a high-hazard industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Red Seal or equivalent technical qualification in maintenance.
• Minimum 5+ years in industrial maintenance across pulp, mining, or heavy manufacturing.
• At least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Experience with rotating equipment, pumps, conveyors, and process systems.
• Hands-on CMMS experience (SAP/Maximo/JD Edwards) and safety leadership.

Responsibilities

• Supervise skilled trades (millwrights, electricians, instrumentation).
• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Coordinate maintenance with production to maximize uptime.
• Lead safe work practices (LOTO, confined space, hot work, hazard assessments).
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Support outages, shutdowns, and capital upgrades.
• Maintain CMMS records (PMs, work orders, labour, and parts).
• Manage contractors and vendors.
• Drive root cause failure analysis and continuous improvement.
• Coach and develop maintenance team members.

What You Bring

• 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role
• Experience with rotating equipment, pumps, conveyors, and process systems
• CMMS experience (SAP, Maximo, JD Edwards)
• Strong safety leadership; union environment experience a plus
