Banff Caribou Properties Ltd. in Canmore is seeking a Maintenance Attendant to keep our property safe, well maintained, and guest-ready across guest rooms, public areas, pool facilities, and outdoor spaces.

This hands-on role covers repairs, routine maintenance, preventative work, and grounds care, with responsibility to inspect rooms and facilities for safety and readiness. You will collaborate with hotel teams to resolve issues quickly, assist with snow removal in winter, and use tools safely

Qualifications

  • Previous maintenance, facilities, building operations, trades, or handyman experience preferred.
  • Skilled trade experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or HVAC is an asset.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on, proactive approach with attention to detail.
  • Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Pool Operator’s Certificate is an asset.
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s licence or international equivalent.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Job description

Join our team as a Maintenance Attendant and play a key role in keeping our property safe, well maintained, and looking its best. From guest rooms and public areas to pool facilities and outdoor spaces, you’ll help ensure everything is operating smoothly and meets the high standards our guests expect.

This is a hands‑on role with plenty of variety, from completing repairs and preventative maintenance to maintaining our grounds and responding to day‑to‑day maintenance needs.

What You’ll Do
  • Keep guest rooms, facilities, and public areas running smoothly
  • Complete repairs, work orders, and routine maintenance
  • Inspect rooms and facilities to ensure they’re safe, functional, and guest‑ready
  • Work with hotel teams to quickly resolve maintenance issues
  • Support preventative maintenance and regular property checks
  • Keep indoor and outdoor spaces clean, safe, and well presented
  • Help maintain grounds, landscaping, and exterior areas throughout the year
  • Assist with snow and ice removal during the winter months
  • Identify and address safety hazards around the property
  • Use tools and equipment safely and responsibly
  • Pitch in on projects and other maintenance needs as required
What We’re Looking For
