Job summary

Baptist Housing is seeking a Maintenance Assistant III in White Rock, BC to uphold safe, functional spaces within Evergreen.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, responding to requests, and maintaining records. Applicants should have 2+ years in building maintenance, strong mechanical skills, and comfort with basic software for documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of related maintenance experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Knowledge of maintenance best practices and building systems.
• Experience using tools and equipment related to building maintenance and repair.
• Working knowledge of computers and software for communication and documentation.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform the duties of the role.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Maintenance Assistant III to join our team at Evergreen in White Rock.

What You’ll do

Maintain Safe & Functional Spaces

• Perform preventative maintenance and routine repairs for buildings, grounds, and equipment
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations
• Complete repairs related to plumbing, furniture, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Support the upkeep of resident and common areas to maintain a safe, comfortable environment

Support Daily Operations

• Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces
• Participate in on-call schedules as needed for emergencies
• Assist with assigning and coordinating maintenance tasks when required
• Maintain maintenance records, logs, and expense documentation

Promote Safety & Compliance

• Identify and address potential hazards proactively
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and organizational policies
• Contribute to a culture of workplace health and safety
• Demonstrate Baptist Housing’s values through respectful and professional interactions

What You Bring

Education & Experience
