Job summary

Baptist Housing is seeking a Maintenance Assistant III for Evergreen in White Rock, BC. This casual role keeps our community safe, comfortable, and well-maintained for residents and staff, from preventative work to urgent repairs.

You’ll handle building systems, assist with maintenance tasks, and contribute to a safe environment. This role emphasizes reliability, hands-on problem solving, and teamwork within a compassionate, residents-first culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of related maintenance experience or equivalent
• Knowledge of building systems and preventive maintenance practices
• Experience using maintenance tools and equipment
• Computer basics for communication and documentation
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform job duties

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and routine repairs for buildings, grounds, and equipment
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
• Complete repairs related to plumbing, furniture, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Support upkeep of resident and common areas to maintain a safe, comfortable environment
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces
• Participate in on-call schedules as needed for emergencies
• Assist with coordinating maintenance tasks and maintaining records/logs
