Baptist Housing in White Rock, British Columbia is seeking a Maintenance Assistant III in a casual, on-site role to help keep our community safe, comfortable and well-maintained for residents, visitors and staff.

You’ll perform preventative maintenance and repairs across buildings and grounds, respond to requests and emergencies, and support daily operations while upholding safety and quality. Join a purpose-driven team that values collaboration and resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of related experience in building or systems maintenance.
• Knowledge of maintenance best practices and building systems.
• Experience using tools and equipment related to building maintenance and repair.
• Working knowledge of computers and software for communication and documentation.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform the duties of the role.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and routine repairs for buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
• Complete repairs related to plumbing, furniture, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Support the upkeep of resident and common areas to maintain a safe, comfortable environment.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces.
• Participate in on-call schedules as needed for emergencies.
• Assist with assigning and coordinating maintenance tasks when required.
• Maintain maintenance records, logs, and expense documentation.
• Identify and address potential hazards proactively.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and organizational policies.
