Job summary

Kinark Child and Family Services in Ontario is seeking a Janitor to perform maintenance and housekeeping tasks. You will operate machinery (large and small), support construction and repairs of the facility, and be aware of site and equipment safety for staff and clients.

The position is paid at CAD 19.00 per hour. Requirements include a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent, basic relevant experience, a satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector Screening) and Pre-Employment

Qualifications

• High School diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• Some practical or position-related experience.
• Criminal record check with Vulnerable Sector Screening and Pre-Employment Medical.
• Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.

• Work with coworkers to keep the site clean and operable for client needs.
• Operate heavy equipment and power tools to complete maintenance tasks.
• Maintain site, roads, grounds, fire pits or new construction projects.
• Visually inspect site and equipment to ensure safety for staff and clients.

The hourly rate for this position is $19.00 CAD.

• Visual inspection of site and equipment to ensure safety for staff and clients when needed.

• Requires completion of High School diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent only
• Some practical or position related experience required
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening) and Pre- Employment Medical
